South Dakota High School Basketball - McLaughlin knocked off by Viborg/Hurley
February 4, 2023: McLaughlin, SD 57642 The Viborg/Hurley Cougars basketball team scored 61 points and held the host McLaughlin Mustangs to 41 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parker for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Viborg/Hurley will meet a Pheasants team coming off a 65-36 non-league loss to Baltic (Baltic, SD). The Pheasants record now stands at 3-13.
The Mustangs (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (Eagle Butte, SD). The Braves enter the A Region 6 contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Cheyenne-Eagle Butte was outscored by Winner (Winner, SD), 52-34, in a non-league contest.
