Indiana High School Basketball - New Prairie trounces Wheeler

February 4, 2023: Valparaiso, IN 46385

The New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) basketball crushed the host Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN), 53-30 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Cougars (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN). The Knights go into the Northern Indiana test with a 17-2 record. In their last test, Mishawaka Marian walloped Bremen (Bremen, IN), 68-26, in a league test.

The Bearcats now own a 3-13 record. They play next when they travel to Illiana Christian for a Greater South Shore test on Tuesday, February 7. Wheeler will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 79-50 league win over Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 14-2.
