Iowa High School Basketball - Pella Christian nips Van Meter
February 4, 2023: Van Meter, IA 50261 Pella Christian Eagles (Pella, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA), 73-66 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Pella Christian upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Indianola (Indianola, IA) to play the Indians in a Little Hawkeye bout on Thursday, February 9. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 16-2. Indianola won 79-68 in their recent non-league bout against Pella (Pella, IA)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Woodward Academy Knights (Woodward, IA) in a Freelance bout, on Monday, February 6. Van Meter will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 65-41 league loss to West Central Valley (Stuart, IA).
