California High School Basketball - St. Francis nips Rancho San Juan

February 4, 2023: Salinas, CA

Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the St. Francis Sharks (Watsonville, CA) and the host Rancho San Juan Trailblazers (Salinas, CA), saw St. Francis's basketball squad hold off Rancho San Juan by a count of 76-70.

With the victory, St. Francis upgrades its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to King City (King City, CA) to play the Mustangs in a PCAL - Cypress challenge on Monday, February 6. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. King City lost 59-54 in their recent league challenge against Gonzales (Gonzales, CA)

Next up, the Trailblazers play the Watsonville Wildcatz (Watsonville, CA) in a PCAL - Cypress challenge, on Monday, February 6. Rancho San Juan will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Wildcatz come into the challenge with a 12-8 record after their 57-53 league loss to St. Francis (Watsonville, CA).
