Ohio High School Basketball - Waynesville nips Wilmington
February 4, 2023: Waynesville, OH 45068 Waynesville Spartans (Waynesville, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wilmington Hurricane (Wilmington, OH), 70-63 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Waynesville upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Spartans host Oakwood (Dayton, OH) to play the Lumberjacks in a Southwestern Buckeye - East bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a record of 15-4. Oakwood won 54-51 in their recent non-league bout against Northridge (Dayton, OH)
Next up, the Hurricane play the Blanchester Wildcats (Blanchester, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-16 record after their 60-52 non-league loss to Adena (Frankfort, OH).
