The Mineral Point Pointers basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Belmont Braves to 47 in the Pointers non-league victory on Saturday.

The Pointers now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverdale for a Southwest Wisconsin Activities contest on Tuesday, February 7. Mineral Point will battle a Chieftains team coming off a 86-37 league loss to Cuba City (Cuba City, WI). The Chieftains record now stands at 7-13.

The Braves (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against East Dubuque (East Dubuque, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, East Dubuque triumphed over Stockton (Stockton, IL), 52-39, in a league contest.
