Georgia High School Basketball - Charlton County nips Brantley County
February 4, 2023: Folkston, GA 31537 Charlton County Indians (Folkston, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA), 48-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Charlton County upgrades its record to 11-12 on the season. The Indians travel to Atkinson County (Pearson, GA) to play the Rebels in a A D2 Region 2 bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 4-19. Atkinson County lost 70-32 in their recent league bout against Clinch County (Homerville, GA)
Next up, the Herons play the Windsor Forest Knights (Savannah, GA) in a AA Region 3 bout, on Friday, February 10. Brantley County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-10 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 7-16 record after their 30-28 league loss to Toombs County (Lyons, GA).
