Alaska High School Basketball - Buckland overwhelms Davis-Romoth
February 4, 2023: Selawik, AK 99770 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Buckland Belugas (Buckland, AK) and the host Davis-Romoth Wolves (Selawik, AK), saw Buckland's basketball squad wallop Davis-Romoth by a tally of 65-41.
With the victory, Buckland improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Belugas travel to Aqqaluk (Noorvik, AK) to play the Bears in a 1A Northwest Arctic challenge on Friday, February 10. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Aqqaluk lost 83-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Tikigaq (Point Hope, AK)
Next up, the Wolves play the McQueen Wolverines (Kivalina, AK) in a 1A Northwest Arctic challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Davis-Romoth will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 68-28 league loss to Aqqaluk (Noorvik, AK).
