Virginia High School Basketball - Varina overwhelms King's Fork
February 4, 2023: Suffolk, VA 23434 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA) and the host King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA), saw Varina's basketball squad wallop King's Fork by a count of 78-56.
With the victory, Varina upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Mechanicsville (Mechanicsville, VA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Mechanicsville lost 60-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Hanover (Mechanicsville, VA)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. King's Fork will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 49-26 non-league win over Franklin (Franklin, VA).
