February 4, 2025: Melvindale, MI 48122 Michigan Collegiate Cougars (Warren, MI) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Academy for Business & Tech Gators (Melvindale, MI), 74-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Michigan Collegiate advances its record to 4-11 on the year. The Cougars travel to Old Redford Academy (Detroit, MI) to face the Ravens in a Charter match on Thursday, February 6. The Ravens enter the match with a record of 12-2. Old Redford Academy won 61-59 in their recent league match against Voyageur Academy (Detroit, MI)
The Gators now own a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lakeview for a non-league match on Thursday, February 6. Academy for Business & Tech will face a Huskies squad coming off a 57-51 non-league win over Sterling Heights (Sterling Heights, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 3-15.
