February 4, 2025: Lumpkin, GA 31815 The Stewart County Royal Knights basketball squad (Lumpkin, GA), was crushed 87-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA)
With the victory, Calhoun County advances its record to 19-2 on the year. The Cougars host Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA) to meet the Indians in a A D2 Region 1 battle on Thursday, February 6. The Indians enter the battle with a record of 13-11. Seminole County won 53-28 in their recent league battle against Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA)
The Royal Knights now own a 2-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Quitman County for a A D2 Region 1 battle on Wednesday, February 5. Stewart County will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 81-54 league loss to Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA). The Hornets record now stands at 4-19.
