Maryland High School Basketball - Catoctin sneaks past Clear Spring
February 4, 2025: Thurmont, MD 21788 The Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) basketball edged the visiting Clear Spring Blazers (Clear Spring, MD), 72-69 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 1-16 record. They play next when they host Saint James for a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 5. Catoctin will play a Saints team coming off a 66-41 league loss to Potomac School (McLean, VA). The Saints record now stands at 6-16.
With the loss, Clear Spring falls to 1-14 on the campaign. The Blazers host South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD) to play the Rebels in a CMC bout on Wednesday, February 5. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 5-11. South Hagerstown lost 66-51 in their recent league bout against Linganore (Frederick, MD)
