Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), 73-40 in a league match.

With the victory, Ropes upgrades its record to 13-6 on the year. The Eagles travel to Plains (Plains, TX) to face the Cowboys in a 2A Region I District 5 match on Friday, February 7. The Cowboys enter the match with a record of 25-2. Plains won 69-39 in their recent league match against Seagraves (Seagraves, TX)

The Bobcats now sport a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Plains for a 2A Region I District 5 match on Tuesday, February 11.
