Louisiana High School Basketball - Ruston knocks off Winnfield
February 4, 2025: Winnfield, LA 71483 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA) and the host Winnfield Tigers (Winnfield, LA), observed Ruston's basketball team overcome Winnfield by a score of 66-48.
The Bearcats (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Alexandria (Alexandria, LA). The Trojans come into the 5A District 2 challenge with a 30-6 record. In their last challenge, Alexandria defeated Pineville (Pineville, LA), 69-25, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Lakeside Warriors (Sibley, LA) in a 2A District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Winnfield will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 63-39 league loss to Mansfield (Mansfield, LA).
