Texas High School Basketball - Stratford triumphant over Sanford-Fritch
February 4, 2025: Stratford, TX 79084 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX) and the visiting Sanford-Fritch Eagles (Fritch, TX), observed Stratford's basketball team overwhelm Sanford-Fritch by a score of 86-37.
The Elks (10-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Sunray (Sunray, TX). The Bobcats come into the 2A Region I District 1 challenge with a 4-13 record. In their last challenge, Sunray was routed by Spearman (Spearman, TX), 65-40, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Sanford-Fritch will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 4-22 record after their 62-36 league loss to West Texas (Stinnett, TX).
