February 4, 2025: Wayland, MA 01778 Waltham Hawks (Waltham, MA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Wayland Warriors (Wayland, MA), 53-49 in a league match.
With the victory, Waltham advances its record to 6-7 on the year. The Hawks host Lexington (Lexington, MA) to face the Minutemen in a non-league match on Sunday, February 9. The Minutemen enter the match with a record of 10-3. Lexington won 69-66 in their recent league match against Winchester (Winchester, MA)
The Warriors now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton South for a non-league match on Friday, February 7. Wayland will face a Lions squad coming off a 58-54 league win over Westford Academy (Westford, MA). The Lions record now stands at 10-4.
