California High School Basketball - Hilmar can't hold off Sonora

February 4, 2025: Sonora, CA 95370

Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Hilmar Yellowjackets (Hilmar, CA), 45-41 in a league match.

With the victory, Sonora advances its record to 8-12 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Hughson (Hughson, CA) to face the Huskies in a Trans Valley League match on Thursday, February 6. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 2-19. Hughson lost 62-26 in their recent league match against Escalon (Escalon, CA)

The Yellowjackets now own a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orestimba for a Trans Valley League match on Thursday, February 6. Hilmar will face a Warriors squad coming off a 33-26 league loss to Ripon (Ripon, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-11.
