New Jersey High School Basketball - Columbia fells Verona
February 5, 2022: Maplewood, NJ 07040 Columbia Cougars (Maplewood, NJ) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ), 45-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Columbia upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Cougars host West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ) to play the Knights in a Freelance bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 2-5. West Essex lost 54-41 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Newark, NJ)
Next up, the Hillbillies play the Glen Ridge Ridgers (Glen Ridge, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Verona will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Ridgers go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 29-22 non-league loss to Verona (Verona, NJ).
