Georgia High School Basketball - Rabun County nips Highlands
February 5, 2022: Tiger, GA 30576 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA) and the visiting Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC), saw Rabun County's basketball squad hold off Highlands by a count of 54-48.
With the victory, Rabun County upgrades its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Elbert County (Elberton, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a AA Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 20-3. Elbert County won 71-47 in their recent league challenge against Union County (Blairsville, GA)
Next up, the Highlanders play the Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC) in a 1A Conference 43 challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-10 record after their 59-56 league win over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC).
