The Salmen Spartans basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Amite Warriors to 59 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

The Spartans now sport a 14-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklinton for a 4A District 8 contest on Thursday, February 8.

The Warriors (10-16) will now prepare for their contest against Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA). The Lumberjacks enter the 3A District 7 contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Bogalusa was routed by Albany (Albany, LA), 73-37, in a league contest.
