Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hoover Huskies (Des Moines, IA), 60-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marshalltown upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Ames (Ames, IA) to play the Little Cyclones in a Central Iowa Metro - North bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Little Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Ames won 60-58 in their recent non-league bout against Dowling Catholic (West Des Moines, IA)

Next up, the Huskies play the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) in a Freelance bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Hoover will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record. The Roughriders go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 78-33 non-league win over Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA).
