Nebraska High School Basketball - Homer holds off Hartington-Newcastle
February 5, 2024: Hartington, NE 68739 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Homer Knights (Homer, NE) and the host Hartington-Newcastle Wildcats (Hartington, NE), saw Homer's basketball squad hold off Hartington-Newcastle by a tally of 59-55.
With the victory, Homer improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Knights host Pender (Pender, NE) to confront the Pendragons in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Pendragons come into the challenge with a record of 20-1. Pender lost 62-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Wausa Vikings (Wausa, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Hartington-Newcastle will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 44-25 non-league loss to Osmond/Randolph (Osmond, NE).
