February 5, 2024: Battle Creek, MI 49017 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers (Battle Creek, MI) and the visiting Jackson Christian Royals (Jackson, MI), saw St. Philip Catholic Central's basketball squad knock off Jackson Christian by a count of 49-38.
With the victory, St. Philip Catholic Central upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Fighting Tigers travel to Mendon (Mendon, MI) to play the Hornets in a Southern Central challenge on Friday, February 9. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. Mendon won 33-28 in their recent league challenge against Athens (Athens, MI)
Next up, the Royals play the North Adams-Jerome Rams (North Adams, MI) in a Southern Central challenge, on Friday, February 9. Jackson Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 45-2 non-league loss to Burr Oak (Burr Oak, MI).
