Iowa High School Basketball - Mid-Prairie holds off Tipton
February 5, 2024: Wellman, IA 52356 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) and the visiting Tipton Tigers (Tipton, IA), saw Mid-Prairie's basketball squad hold off Tipton by a tally of 36-32.
With the victory, Mid-Prairie improves its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Golden Hawks travel to Albia (Albia, IA) to confront the Blue Demons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 10. The Blue Demons come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Albia won 33-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Pleasantville (Pleasantville, IA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the West Branch Bears (West Branch, IA) in a River Valley - South challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Tipton will attempt to improve on its 14-6 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 4-16 record after their 53-36 league loss to Wilton (Wilton, IA).
