South Carolina High School Basketball - Westwood nips Irmo
February 5, 2024: Blythewood, SC 29016 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) and the visiting Irmo Yellowjackets (Columbia, SC), saw Westwood's basketball squad hold off Irmo by a count of 49-42.
With the victory, Westwood upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to Richland Northeast (Columbia, SC) to play the Cavaliers in a challenge on Friday, February 9. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 4-3.
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Lugoff-Elgin Demons (Lugoff, SC) in a challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Irmo will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 53-47 non-league loss to A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC).
