February 5, 2025: Chincoteague, VA 23336

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Chincoteague Ponies basketball team scored a big 52-28 triumph over the Holly Grove Christian Eagles.

The Ponies (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA). The Firebirds go into the Eastern Shore contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Arcadia smashed Nandua (Onley, VA), 82-46, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Greenwood Mennonite Flames (Greenwood, DE) in a Delaware Valley Christian contest, on Friday, February 7. Holly Grove Christian will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Flames go into the contest with a 17-0 record after their 56-51 non-league win over Varsity Opponent (, ).
