Louisiana High School Basketball - Franklin holds off Port Allen
February 5, 2025: Franklin, LA 70538 The Franklin Hornets basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Port Allen Pelicans to 50 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Hornets now possess a 22-12 record. They play next when they travel to Catholic - N.I. for a 2A District 7 game on Friday, February 7. Franklin will confront a Panthers team coming off a 66-33 league win over Houma Christian (Houma, LA). The Panthers record now stands at 19-16.
With the loss, Port Allen falls to 16-15 on the campaign. The Pelicans travel to Brusly (Brusly, LA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, February 7. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 25-12. Brusly won 63-40 in their recent league game against Belaire (Baton Rouge, LA)
