North Carolina High School Basketball - Franklin crushes Swain County

February 5, 2025: Franklin, NC 28734

The Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 86-28 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Panthers now possess a 18-4 record. They play next when they travel to West Henderson for a 3A Mountain 7 bout on Friday, February 7. Franklin will play a Falcons team coming off a 87-62 non-league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 3-19.

With the loss, Swain County falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Maroon devils travel to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC) to play the Black Knights in a 1A Smoky Mountain - Big bout on Friday, February 7. The Black Knights go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Robbinsville won 47-43 in their recent league bout against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC)
