Maryland High School Basketball - Westlake nips Great Mills

February 5, 2025: Great Mills, MD 20634

In Wednesday's league contest, the visiting Westlake Wolverines basketball team scored a close 54-47 win over the Great Mills Hornets.

The Wolverines (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Warriors come into the Southern Maryland contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, La Plata edged Patuxent (Lusby, MD), 53-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Friday, February 7. Great Mills will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 4-13 record after their 48-29 non-league loss to Lake Clifton (Baltimore, MD).
