February 5, 2025: Melrose Park, IL 60160 Southland College Prep (Matteson, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Walther Christian Academy Broncos (Melrose Park, IL), 73-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Southland College Prep upgrades its record to 15-7 on the year. The host Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL) to face the Celtics in a non-league match on Monday, February 10. The Celtics enter the match with a record of 8-18.
The Broncos now sport a 9-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westmont for a Chicago Prep match on Friday, February 7. Walther Christian Academy will face a Sentinels squad coming off a 57-42 non-league win over Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family (Downers Grove, IL). The Sentinels record now stands at 10-15.
