New York High School Basketball - Brushton-Moira tops Madrid-Waddington
February 6, 2023: Brushton, NY 12916 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Brushton-Moira Panthers (Brushton, NY) and the visiting Madrid-Waddington Yellowjackets (Madrid, NY), saw Brushton-Moira's basketball squad knock off Madrid-Waddington by a count of 43-34.
With the victory, Brushton-Moira upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Colton-Pierrepont (Colton, NY) to play the Colts in a Section 10 East challenge on Friday, February 10. The Colts come into the challenge with a record of 8-11. Colton-Pierrepont lost 55-35 in their recent league challenge against St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the St. Regis Falls Saints (St. Regis Falls, NY) in a Section 10 East challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Madrid-Waddington will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Saints come into the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 64-37 league loss to Chateaugay (Chateaugay, NY).
