Michigan High School Basketball - Escanaba holds off Marinette
February 6, 2023: Escanaba, MI 49829 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Escanaba Eskymos (Escanaba, MI) and the visiting Marinette Marines (Marinette, WI), saw Escanaba's basketball squad hold off Marinette by a tally of 79-73.
With the victory, Escanaba improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Eskymos travel to Menominee (Menominee, MI) to confront the Maroons in a Great Northern U.P. challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Maroons come into the challenge with a record of 6-8. Menominee lost 72-60 in their recent non-league challenge against Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI)
Next up, the Marines confront the Wrightstown Tigers (Wrightstown, WI) in a North Eastern challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Marinette will attempt to improve on its 0-17 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 64-52 non-league win over Sheboygan Falls (Sheboygan Falls, WI).
