Illinois High School Basketball - Lincolnwood nips Taylorville
February 6, 2023: Taylorville, IL 62568 Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL), 62-58 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Lincolnwood upgrades its record to 20-7 on the season. The Lancers host Calvary (Springfield, IL) to play the Saints in a MSM bout on Friday, February 10. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 20-6.
Next up, the Tornadoes play the Mattoon Greenwave (Mattoon, IL) in a Apollo bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Taylorville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-25 season record. The Greenwave go into the bout with a 7-19 record after their 44-43 league win over Effingham (Effingham, IL).
