West Virginia High School Basketball - Wood County Christian tops Calvary Baptist Academy
February 6, 2023: Hurricane, WV 25526 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Wood County Christian Wildcat (Williamstown, WV) and the host Calvary Baptist Academy Patriots (Hurricane, WV), saw Wood County Christian's basketball squad knock off Calvary Baptist Academy by a tally of 52-36.
With the victory, Wood County Christian improves its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Wildcat travel to Wirt County (Elizabeth, WV) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 13. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Wirt County lost 57-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Doddridge County (West Union, WV)
Next up, the Patriots play the Elk Valley Christian (Elkview, WV) in a West Virginia Christian - AA challenge, on Monday, February 13.
