February 6, 2023: Greenville, ME 04441 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners (Deer Isle, ME) and the host Greenville Lakers (Greenville, ME), saw Deer Isle-Stonington's basketball squad overcome Greenville by a tally of 39-28.
With the victory, Deer Isle-Stonington improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Mariners travel to Narraguagus (Harrington, ME) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Narraguagus lost 60-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Machias (Machias, ME)
Next up, the Lakers confront the Valley Cavaliers (Bingham, ME) in a D South challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Greenville will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 13-4 record after their 80-67 non-league loss to Carrabec (North Anson, ME).
