St. Joseph Central Flyers (Ironton, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Western Indians (Latham, OH), 39-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Joseph Central upgrades its record to 2-10 on the campaign. The Flyers travel to Rose Hill Christian (Ashland, KY) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Royals come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Indians play the Green Bobcats (Franklin Furnace, OH) in a Southern Ohio I bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record.
