Illinois High School Basketball - Belvidere topped by Pecatonica
February 6, 2024: Belvidere, IL 61008 The Pecatonica Indians basketball team scored 86 points and restricted the host Belvidere Bucs to 72 in the Indians non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Indians now sport a 23-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Durand for a Northwest Upstate Illini - North contest on Friday, February 9. Pecatonica will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 76-40 non-league loss to Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-10.
The Bucs (5-23) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (Rockford, IL). The J-Hawks come into the Northern Illinois 10 contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Jefferson was defeated by Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL), 57-38, in a league contest.
