Ohio High School Basketball - Canton South tops Minerva
February 6, 2024: Minerva, OH 44657 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Canton South Wildcats (Canton, OH) and the host Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH), saw Canton South's basketball squad knock off Minerva by a count of 67-50.
With the victory, Canton South upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Northwest (Canal Fulton, OH) to play the Indians in a Principals challenge on Friday, February 9. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. Northwest won 72-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Springfield (Akron, OH)
Next up, the Lions play the Carrollton Warriors (Carrollton, OH) in a Eastern Buckeye challenge, on Friday, February 9. Minerva will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 8-12 record after their 52-51 non-league win over Claymont (Uhrichsville, OH).
