Texas High School Basketball - Rains nudges Edgewood
February 6, 2024: Edgewood, TX 75117 In Tuesday's league outing, the Rains Wildcats (Emory, TX) basketball squad edged the host Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX), by a margin of 57-54.
The Wildcats (19-11) will now prepare for their outing against Prairiland (Pattonville, TX). The Patriots go into the 3A Region II District 12 outing with a 9-16 record. In their last outing, Prairiland was tipped by Grand Saline (Grand Saline, TX), 54-43, in a league outing.
The Bulldogs now own a 17-14 record. They play next when they travel to Commerce for a 3A Region II District 12 outing on Friday, February 9. Edgewood will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 54-41 league loss to Rains (Emory, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 16-12.
