In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Virginia Episcopal School Bishops basketball team scored a good 75-60 triumph over the New Covenant Gryphons .

In their next game, the Bishops meet the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) in a Virginia Independent match, on Thursday, February 8. Virginia Episcopal School will attempt to better on its 11-9 season record. The Mavericks enter the match with a 18-6 record after their 71-41 league win over Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA).

With the defeat, New Covenant moves to 14-4 on the year. The Gryphons host Eastern Mennonite (Harrisonburg, VA) to meet the Flames in a VISAA Division III match on Thursday, February 8.
