In Tuesday's league match, the host South Pointe Stallions basketball team scored a tight 43-41 triumph over the Northwestern Trojans.

In their next game, the Stallions meet the York Cougars (York, SC) in a AAAA Region 3 match, on Friday, February 9. South Pointe will attempt to move on its 9-16 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 5-17 record after their 63-23 league loss to Lancaster (Lancaster, SC).

With the defeat, Northwestern moves to 11-14 on the year. The Trojans host Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC) to meet the Copperheads in a AAAA Region 3 match on Friday, February 9.
