High School Basketball - Varsity Opponent holds off Providence Christian Academy
February 6, 2024: , Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Varsity Opponent (, ) and the visiting Providence Christian Academy Griffins (Elkton, MD), saw Varsity Opponent's basketball squad hold off Providence Christian Academy by a tally of 50-43.
With the victory, Varsity Opponent improves its record to 385-1404 on the campaign. The host Asheboro Hybrid Academy (Asheboro, NC) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Asheboro Hybrid Academy won 59-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Bradford Academy (Mebane, NC)
Next up, the Griffins confront the Tri-State Christian Crusaders (Elkton, MD) in a Mid-Atlantic Independent challenge, on Friday, February 9. Providence Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 25-6 record after their 66-59 non-league loss to Middletown (Middletown, DE).
