Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Park nips Sto-Rox
February 6, 2024: McKees Rocks, PA 15136 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Park Eagles (South Park, PA) and the host Sto-Rox Vikings (McKees Rocks, PA), saw South Park's basketball squad hold off Sto-Rox by a count of 49-42.
With the victory, South Park upgrades its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Ringgold (Monongahela, PA) to play the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-15. Ringgold won 55-47 in their recent league challenge against Connellsville (Connellsville, PA)
Next up, the Vikings play the Seton LaSalle Rebels (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge, on Friday, February 9. Sto-Rox will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 53-50 league loss to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA).
