Louisiana High School Basketball - Haughton holds off Captain Shreve
February 6, 2024: Shreveport, LA 71105 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA) and the host Captain Shreve Gators (Shreveport, LA), saw Haughton's basketball squad hold off Captain Shreve by a tally of 47-40.
With the victory, Haughton improves its record to 27-5 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Parkway (Bossier City, LA) to confront the Panthers in a 5A District 1 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 25-6. Parkway won 68-34 in their recent league challenge against Benton (Benton, LA)
Next up, the Gators confront the Byrd Yellow Jackets (Shreveport, LA) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 9. Captain Shreve will attempt to improve on its 12-15 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 2-28 record after their 57-37 league loss to Southwood (Shreveport, LA).
