Wisconsin High School Basketball - Lakeland crushes Tomahawk
February 6, 2024: Minocqua, WI 54548 Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tomahawk Hatchets (Tomahawk, WI), 73-25 in a league bout.
With the victory, Lakeland upgrades its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI) to play the Hodags in a Great Northern bout on Friday, February 9. The Hodags come into the bout with a record of 17-5. Rhinelander won 57-53 in their recent league bout against Medford (Medford, WI)
Next up, the Hatchets play the Goodman-Pembine Falcons (Goodman, WI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Tomahawk will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 67-17 league loss to Wabeno/Laona (Wabeno, WI).
