Virginia High School Basketball - Pike County Central routs Grundy
February 6, 2025: Grundy, VA 24614 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Pike County Central Hawks basketball team scored a big 84-43 triumph over the Grundy Golden Wave.
The Hawks (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Breathitt County (Jackson, KY). The Bobcats go into the non-league contest with a 17-5 record. In their last contest, Breathitt County smashed Rowan County (Morehead, KY), 65-53, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Golden Wave confront the Hurley Rebels (Hurley, VA) in a Black Diamond contest, on Friday, February 7. Grundy will attempt to better on its 13-6 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 7-10 record after their 52-44 league win over Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA).
