South Dakota High School Basketball - Wakpala triumphant over Herreid/Selby
February 6, 2025: Wakpala, SD 57658 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Wakpala Sioux (Wakpala, SD) and the visiting Herreid/Selby Wolverines (Herreid, SD), observed Wakpala's basketball team overwhelm Herreid/Selby by a margin of 59-32.
The Sioux (9-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Faith (Faith, SD). The Longhorns come into the non-league challenge with a 6-9 record. In their last challenge, Faith trounced Newell (Newell, SD), 56-31, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolverines battle the Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Herreid/Selby will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 55-41 non-league loss to Sully Buttes (Onida, SD).
