February 6, 2025: Humboldt, KS 66748 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Humboldt Cubs (Humboldt, KS) and the visiting Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks (Mound City, KS), observed Humboldt's basketball team overwhelm Jayhawk Linn by a score of 52-21.
The Cubs (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Caney Valley (Caney, KS). The Bullpups come into the Tri-Valley challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, Caney Valley trounced Bluestem (Leon, KS), 58-34, in a league bout.
With the loss, Jayhawk Linn falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Jayhawks host Erie (Erie, KS) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 2-15. Erie lost 55-28 in their recent league bout against Bluestem (Leon, KS)
