Ponca Indians (Ponca, NE) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Wakefield Trojans (Wakefield, NE), 51-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ponca upgrades its record to 19-1 on the season. The Indians host Homer (Homer, NE) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, February 11. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 12-11. Homer lost 67-61 in their recent non-league bout against Cedar Catholic (Hartington, NE)

Next up, the Trojans play the Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Wakefield will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 4-17 record after their 60-56 non-league loss to Hartington-Newcastle (Hartington, NE).
