Ohio High School Basketball - Alexander holds off Meigs
February 7, 2023: Pomeroy, OH 45769 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH) and the host Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH), saw Alexander's basketball squad hold off Meigs by a tally of 55-49.
With the victory, Alexander improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH) to confront the Buckeyes in a Tri-Valley I challenge on Friday, February 10. The Buckeyes come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Nelsonville-York won 46-37 in their recent league challenge against Athens (The Plains, OH)
Next up, the Marauders confront the Athens Bulldogs (The Plains, OH) in a Tri-Valley I challenge, on Friday, February 10. Meigs will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 7-13 record after their 59-40 league win over Wellston (Wellston, OH).
